As Nobel laureate- Amartya Sen once mentioned, ‘India is not just diverse but diverse in its Diversity’.
Every state/region has its own Folk Art, Folk music, costumes, unique to its region. These Arts based on their unique regional folklore, surrounding nature, religion, have a contemplative quality in its making. Also they were made from locally available raw materials.
Textiles, metal sculptures, wood works continue to evolve in modern world making its mark in global market.
We are grateful to honorary artist Sri S.V. Rama Rao for being our Chief guest and sharing his abstract Art journey. Thanks to Mrs. Nandini Topudurti for supporting and helping organize this talk.

Crafts workshop was held at Urbana Free Library. Our Handmade crafts like Latkans, Warli paiting, Madhubani art, Kolum designs were made using reused materials.
